Space1 One Small Step Program

Space1 introduces a One Small Step program for future space tourism. Future tourism will have touring missions to planetoids, new worlds, solar system bodies and remarkable enigmas. Rather than garner a limited view through a small space rocket window, Space1 is proposing a Step Out ability program to open the door of the spacecraft and either look out or step out onto the surface of a new world.

Tourists will be allowed to take one small step out onto the surface of the new world and look around for a limited time. Taking a ground souvenir may be allowed if it meets a certain size and weight requirement and fits into a special touring bag. The value of such souvenirs may be astronomical, further adding to the value of the tourism package. In some instances, the sale of one souvenir may offset the entire cost of the tourism package.

Of course this walk around option will be significantly more expensive, requiring a rocket landing and departure, a special space suit adapted to the airless or special atmospheric environment and one that can withstand temperature variances of hundreds of degrees cold or hot. Rocket airlocks are also required and the extra function requires extra breathable oxygen. The effort for the step out program will require the retrofitting of a new Safety Rocket.

In an effort to lessen the cost, the program may include a way to simply move up the vehicle and park it on an asteroid, given the limited gravity. Then, a spacewalk will take tethered astronauts to the surface of the frozen rock.It's likely grappling hooks will tether the rocket to the asteroid as well.

Space1 Celestial Navigation

Space1 restarts its celestial navigation program designed for a solar system class star ship or manned space probe to freely navigate without rigid confines of celestial one way orbits. The system uses a space computer, sensors and solar system information, as well as distance parameters to navigate by a space computer control panel. Space1 space computers will be equipped in rockets, star ships, space stations and space probe missions.

Space1 City in the Sky

City in the sky rises until it reaches Earth orbit
Space1 City in the Sky development, a new kind of real estate in the sky
The blueprint shows numerous propulsion engines to support indefinite suspension
Space1 is proposing vast cities in the sky

Today we have military drones capable of days long flight and supporting an array of equipment and weapons. In the future, a floating city in the sky could be kept afloat by other power generation. Space1 is proposing a step by step city. When the space on Earth runs out of room for skycrapers built up to the limit height, a new form of structure will be needed. Cities in the sky are the next logical approach to sky real estate development.

SPACE GRAPPLER

The Space1 Space Grappler is designed to anchor a star ship, rocket or space vessel to an asteroid. 

Grappler styles may vary. In particular a grappler with a magnetic head could more readily latch onto iron core asteroids.

Operating the grappler with an electrical base electro magnet may be more convenient in terms of control. A surface contact switch can activate the electro- magnetism.

Space grapplers will be scaled to the ship with a strong tether and with a selection of various grappler heads, depending on the surface conditions.

Grappler composition is carbon fiber graphite which is stronger than steel. Size is commensurate with the space craft and its payload compartment. It's possible the grapper will be embedded inside the hull. Other than the firing mechanism, more tests are needed to determine the level of control, such as velocity and vector of deployment.

Space1 Gender

Space1 has set the Guidelines for gender in space tourism

Space flights will allow all genders, male and female, and combinations in between. This means every person is welcome, including LGBT community touring astronauts.

Machine variations, humanoids and other life forms are welcome too of a relative humanoid nature, as the rocket and controls, space suit, steps, capsule, etc. are all designed for human stature.

Touring missions will respect the will of individuals and the preferred mix of astronauts. Most flights are of short duration however as we more forward into the future, space missions will become longer and longer to reach more distant tourist sites and this will undoubtedly require residence inside a rocket, space station or even a space hotel.

Space1 First Spaceport

1st Micro Space spaceport Heli Pad to launch helicopters atop the Big Brain
































HISTORY: The first spaceport was a micro space port capable of launching micro craft. Dubbed the Big Brain Airport Pad and the Heli Pad in 2011, here are some of the earliest records from August 2011 describing the idea. This is just one element of many that led to the Micro Space Program.

The Big Brain with many processors is perfect for controlling a swarm of robots. My interest is in a top mount airport pad. In the evening I reviewed some hobby helicopter crafts being flown at the community park. From the brain airport, tiny copters could launch for reconnoissance missions etc. I'm looking into some of the smallest commercially available air copter products. Photo 2: the first build photo shows the install of the first airport truss spacer, attached by angle iron. The spacer is a total of 6-inches long. Note the two airport command and control antennae. Clearance above these antennae is set at 1-inch.

Space1 Micro Space Rocket

Today Space1 is declassifying design blueprints for the successful 2011 MSR-01 Micro Space Rocket, and is revisiting the data. The rocket design blueprint was found in the computer data archives dating back to the origins of the Micro Space Program.

MSR was a successful rocket that had a series of launches and put a crew into space periodically. Rocket launches were scheduled in stents of 25. Overall, the reusable MSR-01 rocket had 50 successful and flawless missions. Much of this is attributed to the rocket design. This was the first Safety Rocket within the Micro Space Program. The unique MSR rocket features included a dynamic shock absorber made from simple materials and helped to cushion micronauts during lift off, reentry and recovery.

The rocket had a crew compartment large enough for several micronauts with a firm pressurization plate to shield from pressurized rocket fuel, critical during the mission. The same reusable rocket launched about 50 times.

Micronauts entered the rocket through the opened nose cone which was later closed for the launch. The first launch of the rocket MSR-01 was successfully photographed. A series of 5 photos showed liftoff. The rocket worked with engine dynamics controlling pressurized hydrogen and Oxygen fed from the fuel pressurization chamber.

The rocket with its diminutive size was successful in exploring Micro Space through numerous launches. Only tiny micronauts fit into the launch bay and crew capsule compartment. In 2011, micronauts repeatedly went into space, experiencing the g force of launch, weightless at apogee, and free fall back to the Earth. All micronauts were not harmed and were set forth after the missions and carried on their normal lives.

The rocket was dismantled and stored in Taiwan, along with the remaining Micro Space components, around the end of the Micro Space Program in the latter part of 2011.
